THROUGH INTEGRATED HOUSING, EDUCATION, HEALTH AND SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS, TURNING POINT BROOKLYN PROVIDES THE COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT AND QUALITY CARE NECESSARY FOR CLIENTS TO TAKE CONTROL AND TURN THEIR LIVES AROUND.VISION:OUR VISION IS TO BE AN AGENT OF SUPPORT FOR ALL THOSE SEEKING TO BUILD A BETTER BROOKLYN. EDUCATION CENTER - THE EDUCATION CENTER PROGRAMS OFFER FREE ADULT BASIC EDUCATION/HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY PREPARATION, ENGLISH CLASSES, COUNSELING, COLLEGE AND CAREER SUPPORT SERVICES AND THE HIGH SCHOOL EQUIVALENCY TEST.
THE OUTREACH CENTER - THE OUTREACH CENTER PROGRAMS PROVIDE COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND REFERRAL AND EDUCATIONAL PRESENTATIONS RELATING TO HIV/AIDS AND GENERAL AT-RISK BEHAVIORS, SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS AND COMMUNICABLE DISEASES. CRISIS INTERVENTION, CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES AND HIV TESTING ARE ALSO PROVIDED. A MOBILE HEALTH UNIT OFFERS VAN-BASED COUNSELING, TESTING, AND LIMITED MEDICAL SERVICES DURING OFF-PEAK HOURS THROUGHOUT BROOKLYN, NEW YORK. THE MOBILE SHOWER BUS PROGRAM PROVIDES HOUSING INSECURE INDIVIDUALS WITH SHOWERS AS WELL AS CLEAN TOWELS, SHAMPOO, SHAVING KITS, SOAP, SOCKS & UNDERWEAR, TOILET FACILITIES, ACCESS TO LAUNDRY SERVICES, SNACKS, AND A SAFE SPACE. SHOWER BUS STAFF ADDITIONALLY ASSIST WITH LINKAGES TO OTHER RESOURCES, INCLUDING COUNSELING SERVICES.
