THE PORTUGUESE AMERICAN CENTER OF SUFFOLK'S PURPOSE IS CULTURAL ENRICHMENT, EDUCATIONAL, ATHLETIC, AND SOCIAL ACTIVITIES TO IT'S MEMBERS AND THE COMMUNITY. THE CENTER SERVES APPROXIMATELY 450 MEMBERS. IT IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING CULTURAL ENRICHMENT TO IT'S COMMUNITY BY TEACHING PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE AND SCHOOL CURRICULUM AS WELL AS PROVIDING AN OPPORTUNITY TO THE PUBLIC TO JOIN IT'S FOLKLORE DANCE GROUPS AND NUMEROUS OTHER HERITAGE RELATED PROGRAMS.
