ESTABLISHED IN 1976, VICTIMS INFORMATION BUREAU OF SUFFOLK ("ECLI-VIBES") HAS BEEN A PIONEER IN THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND THE RAPE CRISIS MOVEMENTS. ECLI-VIBES' MISSION IS TO ASSIST THE SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, RAPE, AND SEXUAL ASSAULT, ELDER ABUSE, CHILD ABUSE, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, AND VETERANS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER OR MILITARY SEXUAL TRAUMAS; TO PREVENT THE INCIDENCE OF THESE CRIMES THROUGH EDUCATION PROGRAMS; AND TO RAISE COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF THE NEED FOR JUSTICE AND COMPASSION FOR VICTIMS. BECAUSE ECLI-VIBES ENVISIONS A COMMUNITY FREE OF ALL FORMS OF ABUSE, IT ADVOCATES FOR SOCIETAL CHANGES THAT WILL ELIMINATE OR DECREASE DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE, ELDER ABUSE, AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING. PROGRAMS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE:24 HOUR HOPELINEOUR 24/7 HOPELINE IS AVAILABLE TO ALL MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. OUR DEDICATED TEAM OF BILINGUAL HOPELINE COUNSELORS LISTEN DEEPLY AND SUPPORT CLIENTS TO ACCESS THE SERVICES THEY NEED. HOPELINE COUNSELORS PROVIDE CRISIS SESSIONS, INTERNAL REFERRALS TO OUR ARRAY OF SERVICES, AS WELL AS APPROPRIATE REFERRALS TO OUTSIDE SERVICES, WHEN NEEDED.COUNSELING PROGRAMTHE COUNSELING PROGRAM IS A TEAM OF DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS WITH A VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS INCLUDING ART THERAPY, SOCIAL WORK AND MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING. WE SERVE CLIENTS STARTING AT AGE THREE AND OFFER BOTH INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP COUNSELING TO OUR COMMUNITY.ADVOCACY PROGRAMOUR ADVOCACY DEPARTMENT ADDRESSES THREE MAIN AREAS: COURT ADVOCACY, YOUTH ADVOCACY, AND LATINX COMMUNITY ADVOCACY. ECLI-VIBES ADVOCATES SPECIALIZE IN WORKING IN SOLIDARITY WITH CLIENTS TO ADDRESS THEIR NEEDS INDIVIDUALLY AND SYSTEMATICALLY.YOUTH PROGRAMOUR YOUTH PROGRAM OFFERS MENTORSHIP TO SUPPORT AND EMPOWER YOUTH WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA, INCLUDING YOUTH AFFECTED BY SUBSTANCE USE IN THEIR FAMILY. OUR MENTORS WORK CLOSELY WITH YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES TO REMOVE BARRIERS AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITHIN FAMILIES AND THE COMMUNITY.LEGAL PROGRAMTHE MISSION OF THE LEGAL PROGRAM IS TO ADDRESS LEGAL NEEDS FOR ALL SURVIVORS, CREATE ACCESSIBLE SERVICES FOR UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS AND BE THE LEADING EXPERTS IN ALL LEGAL RESOURCES FOR SURVIVORS ON LONG ISLAND.HOUSING PROGRAMTHE MISSION OF THE HOUSING PROGRAM IS TO SUPPORT VICTIMS, SURVIVORS OF VIOLENCE, AND INDIVIDUALS SUFFERING FROM HOMELESSNESS BY EMPOWERING THEM TO WORK TOWARDS A HAPPY AND SAFE LIFE IN WHICH CLIENTS ARE ABLE TO SUPPORT THEMSELVES. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO HELP INDIVIDUALS GET TO A SAFE PLACE PHYSICALLY AND FINANCIALLY THROUGH SAFE HOUSING. AT ECLI-VIBES, WE SET CLIENTS UP FOR SUCCESS.SEXUAL ASSAULT FORENSIC EXAMINER PROGRAMOUR SEXUAL ASSAULT FORENSIC EXAMINER (SAFE) PROGRAM IS A UNIQUE AND VALUED PROGRAM. OUR TEAM OF DEDICATED CERTIFIED SAFE NURSES PARTNER WITH LOCAL HOSPITALS TO PROVIDE EXCELLENT MEDICAL CARE TO SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND RAPE. ANTI-HUMAN TRAFFICKING PROGRAMTHE ANTI-TRAFFICKING PROGRAM INCLUDES ADVOCATES, COUNSELORS, ATTORNEY'S AND TASK FORCE MEMBERS. THIS MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM ADDRESSES HUMAN TRAFFICKING HOLISTICALLY.COMMUNITY PANTRY PROGRAMOUR ECLI-VIBES COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY BEGAN SERVING THE COMMUNITY IN 2022. AS ISLAND HARVEST AND LONG ISLAND CARES DESIGNATED FOOD PANTRIES, OUR SHELVES ARE ALWAYS STOCKED WITH FRESH PRODUCE, MEATS, AND A VARIETY OF QUALITY FOOD ITEMS. VOLUNTEER PROGRAMOUR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM HAS A SINGLE GOAL: TO PROVIDE SUPPORT AND ASSISTANCE TO OUR COMMUNITY. VOLUNTEERS PLAY A CRUCIAL ROLE IN HELPING US CARRY OUT OUR MISSION, AND WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR COMPASSIONATE, DEDICATED INDIVIDUALS TO JOIN OUR TEAM.
