A MEMBER OF NORTHWELL HEALTH, INC, JOHN T. MATHER MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, PROVIDES QUALITY MEDICAL CARE REGARDLESS OF RACE, CREED, SEX, NATIONAL ORIGIN, HANDICAP, AGE OR ABILITY TO PAY. ALTHOUGH REIMBURSEMENT FOR SERVICES IS CRITICAL TO THE OPERATION OF THE HOSPITAL, IT IS RECOGNIZED NOT ALL INDIVIDUALS POSSESS THE ABILITY TO PURCHASE ESSENTIAL MEDICAL SERVICES. IN KEEPING WITH THE HOSPITAL'S COMMITMENT TO SERVE ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY, FREE AND OR SUBSIDIZED CARE IS PROVIDED TO THE INDIGENT, CARE IS PROVIDED TO PERSONS COVERED BY GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS AT BELOW COST AND NUMEROUS HEALTH RELATED EDUCATION AND SUPPORT SERVICES ARE OFFERED TO THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE.
