THE SCHOOL PREPARES STUDENTS FOR ACADEMIC AND LIFE-LONG SUCCESS THROUGH A RIGOROUS AND RELEVANT ACADEMIC PROGRAM. THE SCHOOL PROVIDED EDUCATION TO APPROXIMATELY 254 STUDENTS IN GRADES KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHTH DURING THE 2020-2021 ACADEMIC YEAR.THIS YEAR'S FUNDS WERE USED TO MEET BOTH INSTRUCTIONAL AND SOCIAL EMOTIONAL GOALS. EDUCATORS BENEFITED FROM TRAINING ON THE NEW ELA CURRICULAR TOOLS AND LEARNING ABOUT MORE EFFECTIVE MATHEMATICAL INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES. STAKEHOLDERS, INCLUDING FAMILIES, STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND SCHOLARS LEARNED MORE ABOUT TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICES AND TOOLS FOR COPING. ADDITIONALLY, LA CIMA TEACHERS, SUPPORT STAFF AND BOARD PARTICIPATED IN ANTI-RACISM TRAINING AS PART OF OUR SOCIAL JUSTICE KEY DESIGN ELEMENT. AS A RESULT OF THESE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, WE EXPECT TO SEE MARKED IMPROVEMENT IN STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND QUALITATIVE DIFFERENCES IN THE TEACHING AND LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL STAKEHOLDERS. THE SCHOOL EXPECTS TO MAINTAIN HIGH LEVELS OF PARENT ENGAGEMENT AND SCHOLARS WHO ARE BETTER PREPARED TO NAVIGATE CHALLENGING CIRCUMSTANCES-ACADEMICALLY AND SOCIAL-EMOTIONALLY.
