THE GLACIER SOCIETY CONTINUES TO OPERATE AS A CERTIFIED SCHOOL VIA IT'S AUXILIARY VESSELS, THE ARCTIC SCOUT AND A MOTOR WHALEBOAT, ARCTIC GAYLE, BOTH ORIGINALLY CARRIED ON BOARD THE GLACIER. THE GLACIER SOCIETY PROVIDES YOUTH TRAINING ALONG THE EAST COAST. THESE VESSELS PROVIDE HANDS-ON TRAINING FOR ALL LEVELS OF EAGLE SCOUTS AND SEA CADETS, K-12 THROUGH POST GRADUATE, AND WILL CONTINUE TO EDUCATE IN THE HISTORY, LEGACY AND IMPORTANCE OF THE USS/USCGC GLACIER.
