THE FUNDING ALLOWED FEARLESS! TO SUPPORT CLIENTS IN FINDING AND KEEPING SAFE, AFFORDABLE AND PERMANENT HOUSING. FLORIDA HISTORICAL SOCIETY PURPOSE: THE GRANT IS ENABLING THE SOCIETY TO CONTINUE TO CONVERT THE LAST ROOM IN THE BASEMENT INTO A GENERAL STORE, FILLED WITH ITEMS THAT WERE AVAILABLE IN THE 1800S, AS WELL AS UNIQUE UTENSILS, POTS AND PANS, ANTIQUE TOYS AND MORE. TWO EXTERIOR WALLS RECEIVED ATTENTION UTILIZING NEW MORTAR AND CEMENT PLASTER. ALL FOUR WALLS ARE BEING CLEANED, SEALED AND PAINTED. IN ADDITION, PARTS OF THE ATTIC WERE UPGRADED, ROOF FLASHING WAS REPLACED AND THE ATTIC FLOOR REPAIRED. ALSO, A STAIRWAY TO THE SECOND FLOOR WHICH HAD BEEN SEALED UP IS BEING REOPENED TO ENABLE THE STRUCTURE TO MEET CO REQUIREMENTS. THE HOPE IS THAT THE GREEN FAMILY HOMESTEAD WILL BECOME FILLED WITH STUDENTS AND ADULTS WHO ARE INTERESTED IN LEARNING ABOUT LIFE IN FLORIDA IN THE 1800S. | $2,000 |

HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF THE TOWN OF WARWICK PURPOSE: THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY OF THE TOWN OF WARWICK WAS FOUNDED IN 1906 BY A GROUP OF LOCAL RESIDENTS WITH A VISION TO PRESERVE AND CELEBRATE THE HISTORY OF THE TOWN OF WARWICK AND ITS PEOPLE BY EDUCATING AND ENGAGING THE PUBLIC IN THINGS OF HISTORICAL RELEVANCE. THANKS TO THE FOUNDATION'S RECENT SUPPORT, THE SOCIETY HAS MADE GREAT STRIDES IN PRESENTING FORWARD-FACING PUBLIC DISPLAYS AND WORKSHOPS, ATTRACTING NEW AUDIENCES TO THE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AND ENTERTAINING HISTORIC EXHIBITS. THE SOCIETY TOOK THE LEAD IN CREATING TWO PUBLIC EXHIBITS AT MOUNTAIN LAKE PARK. THE WHS ORGANIZED PARTICIPATION BY THE LOCAL HISTORICAL SOCIETIES AND OFFICIAL HISTORIANS.
