EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE GRANTS - AWARDED TO TEACHERS WHO SUBMIT PROPOSALS FOR INNOVATIVE PROJECTS THAT ENRICH THE CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE FOR STUDENTS. TO SUPPORT REMOTE LEARNING, GRANTS WERE ALSO AWARDED FOR TECH & PRACTICAL TOOLS THAT TEACHERS NEEDED TO EDUCATE FROM THEIR HOMES.
AMERICA TO ME GRANT - MFEE COORDINATES A COMMUNITY-WIDE DISCUSSION SERIES TO DEEPEN RACIAL LITERACY USING THE DOCUMENTARY FILMS, "AMERICA TO ME".
COMMUNITY HEALTH WORK (CHW) - A BROAD COVID VACCINE AWARENESS CAMPAIGN SHAPED BY AND DESIGNED FOR BLACK AND BROWN COMMUNITY MEMBERS. THE CHWS DEVELOPED AND DISTRIBUTED CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE AND BILINGUAL PRINT AND ONLINE MATERIALS ABOUT THE COVID VACCINE, AND ASSISTED IN THE PRESENTATION OF VIRTUAL TOWN HALLS AND MULTIPLE OUTDOOR COMMUNITY EVENTS THAT HIGHLIGHTED COVID SAFETY/VACCINE AWARENESS AND CONNECTED ATTENDEES TO HEALTH AND OTHER RESOURCES. THE CHW INITIATIVE ALSO ORGANIZED SERVICES TO SUPPORT VACCINE REGISTRATION AND TRANSPORTATION FOR VULNERABLE POPULATIONS. HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WERE INFORMED AND VACCINATED THROUGH THIS INITIATIVE.

THESE SUPPORT "OUT OF THE BOX" PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES FOR INDIVIDUAL TEACHERS.SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL GRANTS & PROJECTS - SUPPORTS STUDENTS' SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL LEARNING.
