TO PROVIDE EMOTIONAL, MEDICAL AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO CHILDREN WITH CANCER AND THEIR FAMILIES; AND TO IMPROVE THE CURE RATE OF CHILDHOOD CANCER THROUGH YALE NEW HAVEN CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND THE SMILOW CANCER HOSPITAL.FUNDING SHALL BE ACCOMPLISHED BY OFFERING BOTH DIRECT AND INDIRECT SUPPORT TO CHILDREN WITH CANCER AND BY SUPPORTING SUCH ACTIVITIES AS PATIENT CARE, TEACHING AND TRAINING OF STAFF, PEDIATRIC CANCER RESEARCH, OBTAINING OF SPECIAL EQUIPMENT FOR PLAYROOM AND CLINIC AREAS, SPONSORSHIP OF GROUP ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER AND FOR THEIR FAMILIES AND IN THE RAISING OF FUNDS AND INCREASING COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF ALL SUCH SERVICES AT THE SMILOW CANCER HOSPITAL AT YALE NEW HAVEN'S CHILDREN HOSPITAL.
