MEMBERSHIP & PROGRAM SERVICES - THE GIRL SCOUTS OF CONNECTICUT IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING GIRLS AGES 5-17 YEARS OLD WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO BUILD SKILLS AND TO GROW TO BECOME COMPETENT, CONFIDENT AND RESOURCEFUL WOMEN. IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ADULT ADVISORS, GIRLS TRAVEL ON THEIR JOURNEY TO BECOME LEADERS, WHO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.GIRL SCOUTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PLAN PROJECTS THAT BENEFIT THEIR COMMUNITIES AND ARE REWARDED FOR THEIR LEADERSHIP EFFORTS THROUGH OUR BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD AWARDS, THE HIGHEST ACHIEVEMENTS IN GIRL SCOUTING. STEM (SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS),HEALTHY LIVING, GO GREEN AND DIVERSITY CONTINUES TO BE THE FOCUS OF ALL GIRL SCOUT PROGRAMS. IT HELPS THE GIRLS DEVELOP VALUES, OPEN NEW HORIZONS AND EMPOWER THEM TO MAKE DECISIONS ABOUT LIFE.
OUTDOOR PROGRAM SERVICES - RAISING GIRLS' AWARENESS OF THEIR STEWARDSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES TOWARD THE ENVIRONMENT IS A KEY GOAL IN GIRL SCOUTING. GIRLS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT SAVING THEIR ENVIRONMENT AND WANT OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THEIR FUTURE. THE LOVE YOUR CAMP DAYS, COMMUNITY CLEAN UP DAYS, SUMMER CAMP, AND TROOP CAMPING ALLOWS GIRLS TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR SKILLS AND APPRECIATE THE OUTDOORS.THERE ARE MANY OTHER UNIQUE PATCH PROGRAMS FOCUSING ON WETLANDS, INVASIVE SPECIES, POND LIFE AND WATERSHEDS WHICH IMMERSE GIRLS IN LEARNING WHILE HAVING FUN. GIRLS DISCOVER, CONNECT AND TAKE ACTION TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE.
