MUSEUM ACTIVITIES - THE SOCIETY OPERATES AN AREA WITHIN ITS BUILDING AS A MUSEUM CONTAINING INTERESTING OBJECTS CONNECTED WITH ART, SCIENCE AND HISTORY OF CONNECTICUT AND SPECIFICALLY THE NEW HAVEN AREA. THE MUSEUM IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND SCHOOL GROUPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE PHOTOGRAPHIC ARCHIVE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES RIGHTS TO AND REPRODUCTIONS OF IMAGES WORLDWIDE FOR PUBLICATION AND DISPLAY FROM THE THOUSANDS OF IMAGES DATING BACK TO THE 1840'S IN THE COLLECTION.
LIBRARY ACTIVITIES - THE SOCIETY OPERATES AN AREA WITHIN ITS BUILDING AS A LIBRARY CONTAINING BOOKS AND OTHER LITERARY MATERIALS FOR READING, STUDY AND REFERENCE. THE LIBRARY IS OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND SCHOOL GROUPS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
