RIALA SERVES AS THE VOICE OF ASSISTED LIVING IN RHODE ISLAND BY PROVIDING INFORMATION, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND ADVOCATING ON BEHALF OF OUR VALUED MEMBERS AND THE POPULATION THEY SERVE.

EACH YEAR RIALA BRINGS THE INDUSTRY TOGETHER TO PROVIDE TRAINING ON KEYISUUES AND BEST PRACTICES IN ASSISTED LIVING TO ITS MEMBERS. THIS DAYLONG EVENT OFFERS TRAINING AND DISCUSSION OF ITEMS OF INTEREST ANDCONCERN TO RIALA'S MEMBERS. THIS EVENT ALSO FEATURES A TRADE SHOW WHEREATTENDEES ARE ABLE TO LEARN ABOUT NEW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES AS WELL ASRECONNECT WITH SUPPLIERS AND COLLEAGUES
IN RHODE ISLAND, NURSES AND LICENSED ASSISTED LIVING ADMINISTRATORS AREREQUIRED TO EARN CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS ("CEU'S") TO KEEP THEIRINDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE CURRENT AND TO RENEW THEIR LICENSES. RIALA OFFERS ASERIES OF COURSE OFFERINGS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR TO HELP ITS MEMBERS MEETTHE CEU REQUIREMENTS.
THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS A FIFTY HOUR TRAINING PROGRAM UP TO TWICE AYEAR TO PREPARE APPLICANTS TO APPLY FOR LICENSURE AS AN ASSISTED LIVINGADMINSTRATOR AS REQUIRED BY RHODE ISLAND STATE LAW. ALL ASSISTED LIVINGRESIDENCES (OR BUILDINGS) HAVE TO BE INDIVIDUALLY LICENSED, AS WELL AS,OPERATED BY A LICENSED ASSISTED LIVING ADMINISTRATOR.
