THE UNIVERISTY OF RHODE ISLAND STUDENT SENATE IS AN ENTITY SEPERATE FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND, WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED TO ACCOUNT FOR THE REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES OF VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONS ON THE UNIVERSITY'S CAMPUS.
THE UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND STUDENT SENATE RECOGNIZES A NUMBER OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES WHICH ARE NOT FUNDED BY THE STUDENT SENATE FUNDS. THESE ORGANIZATIONS GENERATE REVENUE FROM THEIR OWN ACTIVITIES, BUS USE THE STUDENT SENATE'S ACCOUNT.
