THE PURPOSE OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO SUBSIDIZE EDUCATIONAL HOUSING FOR A GROUP OF 40 MIT STUDENTS BY RENTING THEM (AT REDUCED COST) THE BUILDING AND CONTENTS OF 428 MEMORIAL DRIVE, ON THE MIT CAMPUS IN CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS.

THE ASSOCIATION'S STATED PURPOSE REQUIRES EXPENDITURES (PARTICULARLY ON DEFERRED MAINTENANCE) IN EXCESS OF WHAT THE RESIDENT MIT STUDENTS COULD REASONABLY AFFORD WITHOUT THE ASSOCIATION'S SUBSIDY. ALL REVENUES ARE RESERVED TO SUPPORT PROGRAM SERVICES, THEREBY REDUCING THE EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES OF THE 40 RESIDENT STUDENTS. THE SUBJECT FISCAL YEAR CONTINUED TO BE DISRUPTED BY COVID-19, WITH IN PERSON CLASSES RESUMING AT MIT UNDER RESTRICTIVE RULES AND WITH MIT PROVIDING SOME COST-BASED SUBSIDIES OF STUDENT OPERATING COST.
