THE DUXBURY RURAL AND HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC. IS DEDICATED TO THE PRESERVATION OF THE HISTORICAL AND NATURAL RESOURCES OF DUXBURY, MA AND ITS ENVIRONMENT, AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF AWARENESS AND APPRECIATION OF THE AREA'S HERITAGE AND CHARACTER.

MAINTAIN AND PRESERVE THE HISTORIC BUILDINGS, COLLECTIONS AND LAND PARCELS OWNED BY THE SOCIETY AND PROVIDE PUBLIC ACCESS TO THEM; COLLECT, PRESERVE AND EXHIBIT ARTIFACTS AND RECORDS RELATING TO DUXBURY'S HISTORY.
PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, A LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES FOR THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF SCHOLARLY RESEARCH, AND OFFER ACTIVITIES TO THE DUXBURY COMMUNITY WHICH PROMOTE DUXBURY'S HISTORY.
SPECIAL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES ARE HELD ON A YEARLY BASIS TO CELEBRATE AND PROMOTE DUXBURY'S HISTORY.
