TO PRESERVE NEWTON COUNTY HISTORICAL SITES BY DISCOVERING, COLLECTING, AND PUBLISHING MATERIALS TO HELP ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN THE HISTORY OF NEWTON COUNTY. ALSO, TO RESTORE THE HISTORICAL, PRE CIVIL WAR HOYE HOUSE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE PUBLIC TOURS OF THE HOUSE.

ALL PROGRAM EXPENSES OF THE NEWTON HISTORCIAL CULTURAL COMMISSION ARE RELATIVE TO MAINTAINING AND UPKEEPING THE HISTORICAL HOYE HOUSE. THE HOYE HOUSE IS ON THE NATIONAL REGISTRY. THE COMMISSION PRESERVES THE HOUSE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC TO TOUR THE HISTORCIAL HOUSE.
