THE SOCIETY HOLDS A THREE-DAY ANNUAL MEETING FOR MEMBERS AND OTHERS IN THE PROFESSION TO EXCHANGE IDEAS AND EXHIBIT PATIENT SERVICES FOR THE PURPOSES OF DISCUSSION AND FOR ENHANCING KNOWLEDGE IN THE PSYCHIATRIC AND PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CANCER CARE. THIS MEETING INCLUDES PRECONFERENCE TRAINING PROGRAMS.


THE SOCIETY HELD TRAINING WEBINARS ON ADDRESSING CHALLENGES IN IMPLEMENTING DISTRESS SCREENING IN HEALTHCARE FACILITIES; WRITING RESEARCH TO GET PUBLISHED; END-OF-LIFE ASSESSMENT AND INTERVENTION; AND PSYCHOTROPIC MEDICINE. THE SOCIETY PUBLISHES AND DISTRIBUTES THREE POCKET REFERENCE HANDBOOKS COVERING BASIC PSYCHOSOCIAL ONCOLOGY FOR ADULT, PEDIATRIC, AND GERIATRIC PATIENTS.
