CITYSPROUTS' UNIQUE APPROACH TO SCIENCE EDUCATION IS BASED ON THE POWER OF THE SCHOOLYARD GARDEN TO ENGAGE CHILDREN IN DEEP AND AUTHENTIC SCIENCE THROUGH THE NATURAL WORLD. CITYSPROUTS' IN-SCHOOL PROGRAM IN 24 BOSTON AND CAMBRIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, EARLY START IN SCIENCE, HAS CARVED OUT TIME IN THE SCHOOL DAY FOR CITY CHILDREN TO EXPERIENCE SCIENCE IN A MEANINGFUL WAY AND TO BUILD A LIFELONG CONNECTION TO THE NATURAL WORLD. CITYSPROUTS LAID THE GROUNDWORK TO BRING ON THREE NEW BOSTON PUBLIC SCHOOL PARTNERSHIPS IN SCHOOL YEAR 2022-23, EXPANDING ITS PROGRAM REACH BY 25% THIS PAST YEAR.
