THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION, AS A COLLABORATIVE ORGANIZATION, IS TO PROVIDE TRAINING TO STUDENTS, ADULTS AND TEACHERS IN ORDER TO PREPARE AND MAINTAIN A TECHNOLOGY-LITERATE WORKFORCE IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS OF THE TRI-CITY AREA OF MALDEN, EVERETT AND MEDFORD, MASSACHUSETTS.

THE ORGANIZATION ("TRITEC") WAS CREATED BY THE TRI-CITY SCHOOL DISTRICTS TO CREATE ECONOMIES OF SCALE AROUND COMMON CURRICULAR AND TECHNOLOGY-INTEGRATION-RELATED ISSUES AFFECTING THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS. TRITEC PROMOTES COLLABORATION AMONG THE PARTNERS AND HAS BEEN VERY EFFECTIVE IN ASSISTING THE TRI-CITY SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN PURSUING AND IMPLEMENTING COLLABORATIVE AND COMPETITIVE INITIATIVES AIMED AT INCREASING STUDENT LEARNING IN THE VARIOUS CONTENT AREAS. TRITEC HAS ENABLED ITS COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS TO RAISE MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN FEDERAL AND STATE GRANTS TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR TRI-CITY TEACHERS, ADULTS AND STUDENTS.
