IN OCTOBER THE CHORUS PERFORMED THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND AND AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL AT THE BERKSHIRE IMMIGRANT CENTER'S NATURALIZATION CEREMONY AT NAUMKEAG IN STOCKBRIDGE, MA. IN DECEMBER THEY PERFORMED "CÁNTAME UN CUENTO" A MUSICAL RETELLING OF MEG MEDINA'S ILLUSTRATED CHILDREN'S BOOK MANGO, ABUELA, AND ME IN LENOX, MA. IN MAY THEY PERFORMED "THE SOUNDS OF MUSIC" A FIRST-TIME, INTERGENERATIONAL, AND INTERACTIVE COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE BERKSHIRE CHILDREN'S CHORUS AND BERKSHIRE CONCERT CHOIR TO PRESENT TWO FREE PUBLIC CONCERTS. THE CHORUS PERFORMS FOR AUDIENCES OF 200+ AT EACH PERFORMANCE. WE REDESIGNED OUR TUITION MODEL TO INCREASE ACCESSIBILITY BY OFFERING A SLIDING SCALE MODEL THAT OFFERS AUTOMATIC SCHOLARSHIPS TO FAMILIES BASED ON THEIR SELF-REPORTED INCOME. IN THE PAST YEAR WE HAVE SEEN THE CHORUS DOUBLE IN SIZE AND DRAMATICALLY EXPAND IN RACIAL AND ECONOMIC DIVERSITY (CURRENTLY 43% POC AND 42.5% INCOME OF $30K OR LESS).
