Part 3

THIS SEASON WAS FULL OF FIRSTS, INCLUDING GETTING ACTIVE WITH A HIKE AT GREENAGERS' APRIL HILL, A KICKBALL SERIES, DEVELOPING A FRIENDS AND FAMILY CHORUS WITH ALUMNI AND FAMILY MEMBERS OF OUR CURRENT SINGERS, OFFERING FREE UKULELE LESSONS THROUGH BERKSHIRE MUSIC SCHOOL AND A "FANCY NIGHT" AT THE MAHAIWE TO HEAR RENEE FLEMING. IN LIEU OF OUR WINTER CONCERT IN DECEMBER OF 2021, WHICH WAS CANCELLED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC, THE CHORUS MADE A FILM ENTITLED "A STORY FOR THE SEASON." THE PROGRAM WAS INSPIRED BY EILEEN SPINELLI'S CHILDREN'S BOOK "THREE PEBBLES AND A SONG. IN JUNE, THE KIDS IN THE CHORUS GOT TO EXPERIENCE THE EXCITEMENT OF PERFORMING NEW MUSIC WITH AN ORCHESTRA! WE CELEBRATED THE CONCLUSION OF OUR SEASON WITH A CONCERT FEATURING A NEW ORCHESTRATION OF O COLORED EARTH, BY STEVE HEITZEG, CO-COMMISSIONED AND PERFORMED WITH US BY STOCKBRIDGE SINFONIA. THE CHORUS PERFORMS FOR AUDIENCES OF 200+ AT EACH PERFORMANCE.
