OUR FOOD PANTRY PROVIDES FOOD TO 450 FAMILIES EACH MONTH--THAT'S APPROXIMATELY 160,000 MEALS PER YEAR. WE ARE WORKING TO COMBAT THE HIGH RATES OF DIABETES AND OBESITY IN THE FAMILIES WE SERVE BY STEADILY INCREASING OUR SUPPLY OF NUTRIENT DENSE FOOD CHOICES AND ENCOURAGING HOME COOKING, ESPECIALLY WITH FRESH PRODUCE. THE WEYMOUTH FOOD PANTRY OFFERS FOOD DELIVERIES TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILTIES, THE ELDERLY, AND FAMILIES LIVING AT A LOCAL HOMELESS SHELTER. WITH THE HELP OF 110 VOLUNTEERS, THIS PROGRAM SERVES 80-90 FAMILIES EACH MONTH.
