SEXUAL INTEGRITY: PRESENTED INTERACTIVE PROGRAM ABOUT HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS & SEXUAL CHOICES TO 12 MIDDLE SCHOOL CLASSROOMS, 2 INDEPENDENT LIVING SKILL GROUPS AND 2 CHURCH YOUTH GROUPS. DECREASE IN INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS SERVED, BUT 615 MIDDLE SCHOOL, HIGH SCHOOL, AND ADULTS UTILIZED BOTH PROGRAMS, AND WERE PRESENTED WITH EDUCATION TO UNDERSTAND THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR SEXUAL CHOICES. EMPHASIS PLACED ON RECOGNIZING HEALTHY/UNHEALTHY BEHAVIORS IN RELATIONSHIPS; ALSO REASONS FOR DELAYING SEXUAL ACTIVITY TO EMPOWER YOUTH TO REACH THEIR GOALS.
FIRST CONCERN EXISTS TO EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS TO MAKE INFORMED CHOICES AND TO EXTEND HELP IN SITUATIONS WHERE THE BEGINNING OF NEW LIFE HAS BROUGHT HARDSHIP OR CONFUSION INSTEAD OF JOY. WE OFFER TO CLIENTS THE MATERIAL OR SPIRITUAL ASSISTANCE GOD PROVIDES US FOR MEETING WHATEVER EMOTIONAL OR PHYSICAL NEEDS THAT A WOMEN OR MAN MAY HAVE, AS A RESULT OF PREGNANCY OR ABORTION, AND FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HER OR HIS RELATIONSHIP IN SAVING FAITH TO JESUS CHRIST. THE OFFER OF HELP WILL BE UNCONDITIONAL, FREE OF CHARGE AND WILL NEVER, IN ANY WAY, ASSIST WITH THE KILLING OF AN UNBORN CHILD.
PARENTING EDUCATION: CONDUCTED 652 HOURS OF DIRECT CLIENT CONTACT TO 47 INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS WITH EDUCATION IN PRENATAL DEVELOPMENT AND BIRTH, BREAST FEEDING, INFANT CARE, FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY CLASSES. MOTHERS SUPPORT GROUP MET WEEKLY WITH 4-7 MOMS & THEIR CHILDREN ATTENDING. THIS YEAR CHILDBIRTH CLASSES, AND THE AVAILABILITY OF VOLUNTEER DOULAS WERE ADDED TO THE PARENTING SUPPORT OFFERINGS ALREADY ESTABLISHED. IN ADDITION, 7 MALE CLIENTS WERE MENTORED THROUGH THE FATHER CARE PROGRAM.
PREGNANCY TESTS/COUNSELING: EIGHTEEN WOMEN CAME IN FOR PREGNANCY TESTS, AND EVERY WOMAN RECEIVED INFORMATION & EDUCATION REGARDING OPTIONS. TEN TESTS WERE NEGATIVE, AND THE 8 WOMEN W/POSITIVE TESTS WERE REFERRED TO 2 LOCAL MEDICAL CLINICS FOR ULTRASOUND CONFIRMATION. THE OFFER OF HELP IS UNCONDITIONAL, FREE OF CHARGE CLIENTS WILL NEVER BE REFERRED FOR ABORTION SERVICES.
