FOOD IS THE MOST BASIC OF HUMAN NEEDS. COMMUNITY SUPPORT MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE IN WORCESTER COUNTY TO COUNT ON WORCESTER COUNTY FOOD BANK (WCFB)AND OUR NETWORK OF PARTNER AGENCIES FOR THEIR NEXT MEAL. WCFB'S FOOD SOURCING AND DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM COLLECTS AND INSPECTS PERISHABLE AND NON-PERISHABLE FOOD AND DISTRIBUTES IT THROUGH A NETWORK OF 115 PARTNER AGENCIES TO HELP FEED HUNGRY PEOPLE LIVING IN ALL 60 CITIES AND TOWNS OF WORCESTER COUNTY. LAST YEAR, THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, WCFB DISTRIBUTED 7.2 MILLION POUNDS OF DONATED FOOD AND GROCERY PRODUCT, ENOUGH FOR MORE THAN 6 MILLION MEALS TO NEARLY 93,000 DIFFERENT PEOPLE.
