TO PROVIDE OUR NEIGHBORS ON CAPE COD AND THE ISLANDS WITH AN AFFORDABLE, SUPPORTIVE HOME WHERE EACH PERSON MAY MOVE TOWARDS HIS OR HER FULL POTENTIAL.

"CHAMP HOMES, INC. (CHI) CONTINUES TO BE A LEADER IN THE CAPE COD COMMUNITY BY HOUSING THOSE WHO FALL THROUGH THE GAPS IN OTHER HOUSING PROGRAMS. OUR RESIDENTS COME FROM A VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS WITH A COMMON CHARACTERISTIC OF THEIR LIFE BEING THEY WERE EITHER HOMELESS OR NEAR HOMELESSNESS WHEN THEY ARRIVED AT CHI. THE HOMES AT OUR 82 SCHOOL STREET CAMPUS CONTINUED TO SERVE A POPULATION FROM A VARIETY OF BACKGROUNDS. IN 2019, CHAMP HOMES, INC. SERVED APPROXIMATELY 80 INDIVIDUALS. THE READY HOME SERVES MOSTLY HEAD INJURED INDIVIDUALS AND MOST OF THE CASE MANAGEMENT AND LIFE SKILLS WORK IS SHARED WITH THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT ASSOCIATES, A FOR-PROFIT ORGANIZATION SERVING THE HEAD INJURED UNDER CONTRACT WITH THE STATE HEAD INJURED PROGRAM. THE ALICE O'NEILL HOUSE'S POPULATION HOUSES THOSE IN NEED OF SHORT-TERM AND LONGER TERM TRANSITIONAL HOUSING. CHAMP HOMES, INC. PROVIDES THE HOUSING COMPONENT OF THE PROGRAM AND ADDITIONAL CASE AND LIFE SKILLS SUPPORT. CHAMP HOMES CONTINUES TO INCREASE LIFE SKILLS TRAINING WITH OUTSIDE CONTRACTED CONSULTANTS TO OFFER EDUCATIONAL AND JOB SEARCH SUPPORT TO RESIDENTS WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM THESE PROGRAMS. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR CHI ALSO OFFERED DAILY NUTRITION, AND PATHWAYS TO HEALTH AND VARIOUS PROGRAMS TO RESIDENTS TO HELP IMPROVE THEIR WELL-BEING. CHI UTILIZES "A HAND UP" RATHER THAN A "HAND OUT" APPROACH. CHAMP HOMES, INC. CONTINUES TO DO CONSIDERABLE NETWORKING WITHIN THE COMMUNITIES IN ORDER TO BUILD A MORE SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY RESPONSE TO THE ROOT CAUSES OF HOMELESSNESS AND TO BUILD COMMUNITY WHEREVER AND WHENEVER POSSIBLE. FINALLY, THE ORGANIZATION SUPPORTS TEAM M25 AND ITS PROGRAMS. "
