UMPIRE EXPENSE INCLUDES INSTRUCTIONAL CLASSES, EQUIPMENT AND STAFF NEEDED TO OVERSEE AND CONTROL ALL ORGANIZED BASEBALL GAMES FROM APRIL THROUGH OCTOBER FOR AGES 8-21 YRS OLD. TWO UMPIRES ARE USED FOR JUNIOR, INTERNATIONAL, SENIOR, TRAVEL, SUMMER TOURNAMENTS; ONE UMPIRE FOR MAJOR LEAGUE GAMES. APPROXIMATELY 425 GAMES WERE HOSTED DURING THE YEAR.
UNIFORMS PROVIDED CONSISTED OF A HAT AND SHIRT FOR CHALLENGERS, LIL SLUGGERS, TEE BALL, INSTRUCTIONAL, JUNIOR, INTERNATIONAL, MAJORS, SENIORS, TOURNAMENT AND FALL BALL TEAMS. JACKETS WERE ISSUED TO BOARD MEMBERS FOR IDENTIFICATION ON THE BASEBALL GROUNDS AND FIELDS. HATS AND SHIRTS ISSUED TO MINOR LEAGUE UMPIRES. TOTAL PLAYERS WERE APPROXIMATELY 742 FOR WINTER TRAINING, SPRING, SUMMER CAMP, TOURNAMENTS AND FALL BALL.
BASEBALLS PURCHASED FOR THREE SEASONS FOR ALL LEAGUES AND TEAMS. NEW AND REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT FOR PLAYERS/COACHES INCLUDING CATCHERS GEAR, HELMETS, BATS AND UMPIRE EQUIPMENT.
$6,700 SUMMER TRAINING CAMP PROVIDED SMALL GROUP INSTRUCTION WITH ACTIVITIES/DRILLS BY A COACH AND ASSISTANTS FOR ONE WEEK PROGRAMS.$5,038 TROPHIES WERE AWARDED TO PARTICIPANTS IN THE CHALLENGER, LIL SLUGGER, TEE BALL AND INSTRUCTIONAL LEAGUES. CHAMPION AND RUNNER UP AWARDS WERE ISSUED TO JUNIOR, INTERNATIONAL, MAJOR AND SENIOR LEAGUES.
