BESIDES CREATING AND PRESERVING AFFORDABLE HOME OWNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR HOUSEHOLDS TRADITIONALLY EXCLUDED FROM THE HOUSING MARKET, OUR FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM PROVIDES EDUCATION AND TRAINING, AS WELL AS NETWORKING AND ORGANIZING OPPORTUNTIES TO ENSURE FAMILIES' CONTINUED SUCCESS. ADVOCATING FOR THE HOUSING NEEDS OF LOW INCOME FAMILIES THROUGH COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS IS A KEY PRIORITY FOR THE ORGANIZATION. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, BREAD & ROSES HOUSING HAS CONDUCTED EDUCATION SEMINARS FOR OVER 2,700 LOW INCOME, FIRST TIME HOMEBUYERS AND ENABLED 54 FAMILIES TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN THEIR OWN HOME - FAMILIES THAT MIGHT HAVE NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE THEIR OWN PROPERTY.
