NON-PROLIFERATION: THE GOAL OF THE CENTER FOR ARMS CONTROL AND NON-PROLIFERATION IS TO ENCOURAGE A REDUCTION IN NUCLEAR WEAPONS AND WEAPONS-GRADE MATERIALS; TO EDUCATE AND INFORM CONGRESS AND ADMINISTRATION POLICYMAKERS (DIRECTLY AND THROUGH POLICY AMPLIFICATION VIA MEDIA OUTLETS) TO LEAD TOWARD LEGISLATIVE AND BUDGET ACTIONS THAT SUPPORT THAT GOAL; TO ENCOURAGE APPROPRIATE SUPPORT OF EFFORTS TO HALT PROLIFERATION AND TO NEGOTIATE REDUCTIONS AND SECURE AND ELIMINATE FISSILE MATERIALS WORLDWIDE.
