WE STEWARD THESE BUILDINGS AS GATHERING SPACES FOR THE OPEN EXCHANGE OF IDEAS AND THE CONTINUING PRACTICE OF DEMOCRACY, INSPIRING ALL WHO BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PEOPLE TO GOVERN THEMSELVES.

PRESERVATION AND RENOVATION OF THE OLD STATE HOUSE AND OLD SOUTH MEETING HOUSE, HISTORIC LANDMARKS OF COLONIAL-ERA BOSTON; AND OPERATION OF THE OLD STATE HOUSE AND OLD SOUTH MEETING HOUSE MUSEUMS, TO PROMOTE BETTER PUBLIC UNDERSTANDING OF THE PERIOD AND INTELLECTUAL CLIMATE THAT GAVE BIRTH TO THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION.
GENERAL PROGRAMMING ACTIVITIES INCLUDE CONSERVATION OF REVOLUTIONARY SPACES' COLLECTION AND ARCHIVES AS A RESOURCE FOR BOTH RESEARCHERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND INTERPRETING THE OLD STATE HOUSE, OLD SOUTH MEETING HOUSE, AND THEIR HISTORIES THROUGH EXHIBITIONS AND PROGRAMMING TARGETED TO MUSEUM VISITORS, SCHOOL GROUPS AND MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY.
