THE BOSTON SOCIETY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS SECTION OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF CIVIL ENGINEERS (BSCES) IS A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION THAT EXCELS IN ITS TECHNICAL PROGRAMS, ENHANCES THE PROFESSIONAL GROWTH OF ITS MEMBERS, ADVANCES ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE AND WORKS TO IMPROVE THE STANDARDS OF PRACTICE.

THIS PAST YEAR BSCES HELD 36 EVENT WEBINARS, TECHNICAL PRESENTATIONS, SOCIAL/NETWORKING ACTIVITIES, SPECIAL FUND EVENTS, STUDENT COMPETITION/MAJOR OUTREACH EVENTS, MULTI DAY TRAINING COURSES, STUDENT CHAPTER MEETINGS, SINGLE DAY WORKSHOPS, YOUNGER MEMBER GROUP SPONSORED COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES, AWARDS DINNERS, STUDENT DINNERS, AND A FALL AND SPRING PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER REFRESHER COURSE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. BSCES ALSO PROVIDED 4 SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS AND AWARDS TOTALING $24,591.50 IN CONJUNCTION WITH THESE EVENTS WITH 1,310 ATTENDEES.
