TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR MCKINLEY SCHOOL FACILITIES AND FOR ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

FINE ARTS WHEEL CLASSES - PROVIDE ART/MUSIC/DANCE/GARDENING/CERAMICS TEACHERS FOR WEEKLY INSTRUCTION. ALL STUDENTS BENEFITED FROM THE GRANT BY PARTICIPATING IN THE PROGRAM DURING SCHOOL HOURS.


- PTC GRANT FOR TEACHERS REIMBURSED TEACHERS FOR OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES PAID FOR SUPPLIES USED FOR CLASSES.- 5TH GRADE SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM RAISED FUNDS TO SEND STUDENTS TO YMCA CAMP.- LIBRARY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT WAS INITIATED TO UPDATE THE LIBRARY FORALIGNMENT WITH THE INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE CIRRICULUM.- TALENT SHOW AND THEATRE COMPANY ALLOWED STUDENTS TO PARTIPATE IN STAGE PRODUCTIONS.- CAMPUS BEAUTIFICATION FUNDS ARE SPENT ON IMPROVEMENTS TO SCHOOL GARDENS.- INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE CERTIFICATION FEE WAS PAID FOR TEACHERS AS WELL AS FOR TEACHER TRAINING RELATED TO THE CERTIFICATION.- 'JEDI' PROGRAM PROVIDED JUSTICE, EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION TRAINING.


SPANISH INSTRUCTION - PROVIDES TWICE PER WEEK INSTRUCTION FOR ALL KINDERGARTEN THRU 3RD GRADE STUDENTS AT MCKINLEY AND ONCE PER WEEK INSTRUCTION FOR 4TH AND 5TH GRADERS. APPROX. 600 STUDENTS BENEFITTED FROM THE GRANT.


ACHIEVE 3000 READING PROGRAM IS A COMPUTER PROGRAM SUBSCRIPTION RENEWED ANNUALLY WHICH PROVIDES ADVANCED READING INSTRUCTION FOR ALL ATTENDING STUDENTS.
