PAULO FREIRE FREEDOM SCHOOL-DOWNTOWN, THE NEWEST OF THE SCHOOLS, OPENED IN JULY 2014 AND IS CO-LOCATED WITH CITY HIGH SCHOOL DOWNTOWN. PAULO FREIRE FREEDOM SCHOOL-UNIVERSITY, THE ORIGINAL OF THE TWO MIDDLE SCHOOLS, OPENED IN 2005 AND REMAINS AT ITS ORIGINAL LOCATION IN THE HISTORIC YWCA ON UNIVERSITY AVENUE. THE MIDDLE SCHOOLS ENROLL 78 STUDENTS EACH.
