EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND PRODUCTSTHE ATOMIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION (AHF) DEVELOPED A VARIETY OF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND PRODUCTS ON THE MANHATTAN PROJECT AND THE ATOMIC AGE.- AHF PARTICIPATED IN THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE EVENTS ORGANIZED ONLINE BY THE LOS ALAMOS HISTORICAL SOCIETY. PRESIDENT CINDY KELLY PRESENTED AN HOUR-LONG SEMINAR ON THE MAKING OF THE MANHATTAN PROJECT NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK THAT IS AVAILABLE ONLINE.- AHF PUBLISHED SEVEN NEWSLETTER THROUGHOUT 2020 ON A VARIETY OF TOPICS THAT WERE WELL RECEIVED BY AUDIENCES NATIONWIDE. - AHF PRESENTED A TWO-HOUR SEMINAR IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE BULLETIN OF THE ATOMIC SCIENTISTS TO STUDENTS IN CHICAGO. - AHF'S CINDY KELLY SERVED AS AN EXPERT FOR A BBC DOCUMENTARY ON LEO SZILARD AND THE ATOMIC BOMB. - THREE DIFFERENT BBC STATIONS INTERVIEWED AHF PRESIDENT CINDY KELLY ON THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DROPPING OF THE ATOMIC BOMB ON HIROSHIMA.


PRESERVATION ACTIVITIESTHE ATOMIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION (AHF), WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER INSTITUTIONS, PRESERVES, COMMEMORATES AND INTERPRETS THE MANHATTAN PROJECT AND THE ATOMIC AGE. - THE ATOMIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION WORKED WITH THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE, LOCAL COMMUNITIES, AND OTHER GROUPS ON PLANNING FOR INTERPRETIVE PRODUCTS AND PRESERVING HISTORICAL RESOURCES FOR THE MANHATTAN PROJECT NATIONAL HISTORICAL PARK. - THROUGHOUT 2020, THE ATOMIC HERITAGE FOUNDATION WORKED WITH THE NATIONAL MUSEUM ON NUCLEAR SCIENCE & HISTORY IN ALBUQUERQUE. IN 2019, THE MUSEUM ASSUMED RESPONSIBILITY FOR MANAGING THE AHF'S THREE WEBSITES, LIBRARY, ARTIFACTS AND OTHER MATERIALS. - IN ADDITION, AHF HAS BEEN ENGAGED IN PROVIDING ADVICE TO MANHATTAN PROJECT HISTORICAL SOCIETIES, MUSEUMS, SCHOLARS, AND OTHERS ON SELECTED PROJECTS. EXAMPLES INCLUDE: - COLLABORATING WITH THE LOS ALAMOS HISTORICAL SOCIETY IN COMMEMORATING THE 75TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE WORLD'S FIRST ATOMIC BOMB. - WORKING WITH THE MUSEUM STAFF AND C-SPAN AMERICAN HISTORY-TV TO BROADCAST SEVERAL ORAL HISTORIES FROM THE AHF'S COLLECTION, "VOICES OF THE MANHATTAN PROJECT." - CONNECTING PERSONS INTERESTED IN DONATING HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS WITH THE STAFF AT THE MUSEUM RESULTING IN MANY SIGNIFICANT ITEMS BEING DONATED TO THE MUSEUM FOR INTERPRETATION AND DISPLAY.
