IN 2021, WE OFFERED 79 PROGRAMS INCLUDING OUR ADULT, YOUTH AND ELDER ARTS CLASSES, SERVING 5128 INDIVIDUALS, MANY OF WHOM RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. WE HOSTED 14 EXHIBITIONS, 10 FREE COMMUNITY PROJECTS AND COLLABORATED WITH 17 COMMUNITY PARTNERS. IN THE SPRING OF 2021 RIVER ARTS PARTNERED WITH HEALTHY LAMOILLE VALLEY AND THE STUDIO STORE IN JOHNSON TO PROVIDE 50 FREE ART KITS ENABLING STUDENTS TO CREATE DURING THEIR APRIL VACATION. WE OFFERED A FREE ONLINE HANDBUILDING CLASS FOR MEMBERS OF SAFEART'S TRAUMA SUPPORT GROUP. IN A NEW COLLABORATION WITH LSSU'S UNBOUND PROGRAM, WE WERE ABLE TO OPEN A FREE AFTER SCHOOL CLAY CLASS THIS FALL, SERVING 24 STUDENTS. WE COLLABORATED SEVERAL TIMES WITH LAMOILLE NEIGHBORS TO HELP COMBAT ISOLATION FOR OLDER COMMUNITY MEMBERS. WE PARTNERED WITH THE LAMOILLE ART AND JUSTICE PROJECT TO PRODUCE THE LISTENING OUTSIDE THE LINES, AN ORAL HISTORY PROJECT AND EXHIBITION ON DISPLAY JANUARY - APRIL 2022. THROUGHOUT 2021, WE MADE AN EFFORT TO EXPAND ENGAGEMENT OUTSIDE OF OUR BUILDING TO HELP FOSTER A RECONNECTION FOLLOWING ISOLATION. MUSIC ON MAIN WAS A SERIES THAT TOOK PLACE VERY FRIDAY IN JULY AND AUGUST. WE BROUGHT TOGETHER MUSIC LOVERS AND PASSERS-BY TO ENJOY MUSIC IN A SAFE, OUTDOOR, COMMUNITY SPACE. THIS PROGRAM WAS A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE MORRISVILLE ALLIANCE FOR CULTURE AND COMMERCE WITH THE GOAL OF CREATING A PAID PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY FOR LOCAL MUSICIANS, STRUGGLING AFTER A YEAR WITHOUT LIVE PERFORMANCES, WHILE ALSO BRINGING ATTENTION BACK TO OUR DOWNTOWN BUSINESS'. THIS PASTYEAR WE DEVELOPED A WORK STUDY POSITION FOR EENS INTERESTED IN OUR CLAY STUDIO. THIS OFFERED AN OPPORTUNITY FOR TEENS TO RE-CONNECT WITH COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME IN EXCHANGE FOR FREE USE OF THE SPACE.
