PURE WATER FOR THE WORLD, INC. (PWW) WORKS TO PROTECT THE HUMAN RIGHT TO BASIC NECESSITIES BY EMPOWERING PEOPLE, LIVING IN RURAL AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES OF HAITI AND CENTRAL AMERICA, WITH THE ESSENTIAL TOOLS AND EDUCATION TO ESTABLISH SUSTAINABLE SAFE WATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE (WASH) PROGRAMS. PWW'S COMMUNITY-BASED WASH PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED AND IMPLEMENTED IN COLLABORATION WITH COMMUNITY LEADERS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENTITIES. PROGRAMS ENCOMPASS FAMILY HOMES, COMMUNITY SCHOOLS, AND MEDICAL FACILITIES, ADDRESSING RELIABLE AND SUSTAINABLE ACCESS TO SAFE WATER AND SANITATION, WITH COMPREHENSIVE WASH EDUCATION. PWW'S TRAINING TEAMS PROVIDE WASH EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS AND CONSULTING SERVICES TO OTHER NGOS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, HEALTH OFFICIALS, AND EDUCATORS, FOCUSED ON THE CAUSES OF WATERBORNE DISEASES AND HOW TO EFFECTIVELY PREVENT THEM.PWW HAS SERVED OVER 500 COMMUNITIES ACROSS HAITI AND CENTRAL AMERICA, REACHING MORE THAN 750,000 INDIVIDUALS.

IN 2021, PWW REACHED 24,744+ INDIVIDUALS AT HOMES, SCHOOLS, AND COMMUNITIES WITH SAFE WATER, SANITATION, AND HYGIENE PROGRAMS.WASH PROGRAM IMPACT:*WASH PROGRAMS DELIVERED IN 20 COMMUNITIES, REACHING 1,685 FAMILY HOMES, 32 SCHOOLS, TWO COMMUNITY-BASED SHELTERS, AND ONE HEALTH CLINIC.*HOMES: INSTALLED 1,134 CERAMIC WATER FILTERS; 431 BIOSAND WATER FILTERS; 221 SINGLE-FAMILY LATRINES; 100 RAINWATER HARVESTING TANKS. *SCHOOLS: CONSTRUCTED 32 WASH STATIONS (HANDWASHING STATIONS + GENDER-SPECIFIC LATRINES); SIX HANDWASHING STATIONS; 10 LATRINES; 25 RAINWATER HARVESTING TANKS.*SHELTERS: SERVED TWO COMMUNITY-BASED SHELTERS, CONSTRUCTING FIVE METAL LATRINES, TWO PORTABLE LATRINES, SHOWERS, HANDWASHING STATIONS AND WATER STORAGE TANKS.
