VERMONT PSYCHIATRIC SURVIVORS, INC PROVIDES INFORMATION TO PSYCHIATRICALLY DISABLED PERSONS REGARDIING THE AVAILABILITY OF SERVICES, SUPPORT GROUPS, AND OTHER RESOURCES. VPS HANDLES THE DAILY OPERATION OF THE SAFEHAVEN PROJECTS AND OVERSEES ITS LICENSURE AS A THERAPEUTIC RESIDENTIAL FACILITY. VPS SUBCONTRACTS TRAINED RECOVERY EDUCATORS WHO SERVE AS PROGRAM CONSULTANTS TO STATE MENTAL HEALTH AGENCIES AND ALSO PROVIDE RECOVERY EDUCATION TO CONSUMERS.
