THE AGENCY'S MISSION IS TO ENGAGE COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN RESPONDING TO THE NEEDS OF CRIME VICTIMS, THE COMMUNITY AND THOSE WHO VIOLATE THE LAW, HOLDING THE LATTER ACCOUNTABLE IN A MANNER THAT PROMOTES RESPONSIBILE AND RESTORATIVE BEHAVIOR.

THE AGENCY OFFERS RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROGRAMMING AS VOLUNTARY, CONFIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVES TO THE FORMAL COURT PROCESS FOR CERTAIN JUVENILE AND ADULT OFFENDERS. THE STATE'S ATTORNEY REFERS EACH CASE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. IT ALSO ADMINISTERS A PROGRAM FOR CIVIL ALCOHOL AND MARIJUANA VIOLATIONS, A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR DEFENDANTS IN THE PRETRIAL PHASE OF COURT PROCEEDINGS, AND A PROGRAM TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS WITH DRIVER'S LICENSE REINSTATEMENT.
THE BALANCED AND RESTORATIVE JUSTICE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR AT-RISK, TRUANT, AND ADJUDICATED YOUTH, AS WELL AS YOUTH IN A PRE-CHARGE COMPACITY. SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE CASE MANAGEMENT, ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT, ATTENDANCE MONITORING, AND MONITORING ADHERENCE TO THE YOUTH'S PROBATION CERTIFICATE.
