TO CREATE A RESPITE OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR CAMPERS' PARENTS, GUARDIANS, AND CAREGIVERS.

FOR OVER 30 YEARS, CAMP THORPE HAS SERVED CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH PHYSICAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES THROUGH A SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE. CAMP THORPE PROVIDES A NUTURING AND SUPPORTIVE CAMP EXPERIENCE TO CAMPERS AND MUCH NEEDED RESPITE TO THEIR PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS. CAMP THORPE IS STAFFED BY YOUNG ADULTS INTERESTED IN PURSUING CAREERS IN SPECIAL EDUCATION AND THE SOCIAL AND HUMAN SERVICES FIELDS, GIVNG THEM VALUABLE REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE TO INFORM THEIR EDUCATION AND CAREER PLANNING.
