EQUALITY OHIO EDUCATION FUND IDENTIFIES AND TRANSORMS SYSTEMS AND INSTITUTIONS SO LGBTQ+ OHIOANS CAN FULLY ACCESS LEGAL AND LIVED EQUALITY. WE ENVISION AN OHIO WHERE PEOPLE ARE WELCOME, AFFIRMED, AND FLOURISHING.

HEARTS & MINDS: THIS ENCOMPASSES OUR EFFORTS TO EDUCATE AND INCREASE THE VISIBILITY OF THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY AND OTHER VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN ORDER TO INCREASE ACCEPTANCE OF LGBTQ+ PEOPLE, ACHIEVE A MORE COOPERATIVE PROGRESSIVE COMMUNITY, AND OBTAIN LEGAL AND LIVED EQUALITY FOR LGBTQ+ PEOPLE IN OHIO.

LEGAL CLINIC: WE OFFER MANY FREE LEGAL SERVICES, INCLUDING CONSUMER LAW (SUCH AS FRAUD AND IDENTITY THEFT), FAMILY LAW, CIVIL RIGHTS, ADMINISTRATIVE HELP (SUCH AS SSI OR DISABILITY), IDENTITY DOCUMENTS AND MORE TO LGBTQ+ OHIOANS AT 300% OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY RATE. SINCE THE BEGINNING OF OUR LEGAL CLINIC PROGRAM, WE HAVE PROUDLY SERVED MORE THAN 2,700 LGBTQ+ INDIVIDUALS IN NAVIGATING COMPLEX LEGAL SYSTEMS IMPACTING THEIR LIVES.


POLICY: ENCOMPASSES OUR EFFORTS TO ANALYZE, EDUCATE ABOUT, AND WORK TO IMPROVE POLICIES, PROCESSES, AND PROCEDURES IMPACTING THE LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY IN CORPORATIONS, MUNICIPALITIES, ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCIES, AND STATE GOVERNMENT.
