HEARTS & MINDS: EFFORTS TO EDUCATE AND INCREASE THE VISIBILITY OF THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY AND OTHER MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES IN ORDER TO INCREASE ACCEPTANCE OF LGBTQ PEOPLE, ACHIEVE A MORE COOPERATIVE PROGRESSIVE COMMUNITY, AND OBTAIN LEGAL AND LIVED EQUALITY FOR LGBTQ PEOPLE IN OHIO.
LEGAL CLINIC: OFFERS MANY FREE LEGAL SERVICES, LIKE CONSUMER LAW (SUCH AS FRAUD AND IDENTITY THEFT), FAMILY LAW, CIVIL RIGHTS, ADMINISTRATIVE HELP (SUCH AS SSI OR DISABILITY) AND MORE TO LGBTQ+ OHIOANS AT 300% OF THE FEDERAL POVERTY RATE. SINCE THE BEGINNING OF OUR LEGAL CLINIC PROGRAM, WE HAVE PROUDLY SERVED MORE THAN 1,600 LGBTQ+ INDIVIDUALS IN NAVIGATING COMPLEX LEGAL SYSTEMS IMPACTING THEIR LIVES.
POLICY: EFFORTS TO ANALYZE, EDUCATE ABOUT, AND WORK TO IMPROVE POLICIES, PROCESSES, AND PROCEDURES IMPACTING THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY IN CORPORATIONS, MUNICIPALITIES, ADMINISTRATIVE AGENCIES, AND STATE GOVERNMENT.
