MADISON AREA DOWN SYNDROME SOCIETY (MADSS) TOUCHES THE LIVES OF MORE THAN 5,500 PEOPLE WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (IDD) THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SERVICES, EDUCATION, RESOURCES AND SUPPORT.

THE MADISON AREA DOWN SYNDROME SOCIETY HELD MANY EVENTS TO EDUCATE, SUPPORT, AND INCREASE AWARENESS ABOUT THE POTENTIAL OF ADULTS AND CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME. THESE EVENTS INCLUDED MOMS' GROUP, BOOK CLUB, LIFE SKILLS AND SWIM CLASSES, AND A FAMILY PICNIC. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PROVIDES GRANTS TO FAMILIES TO ASSIST WITH PURCHASES OF ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT OR THERAPIES.
