Part 3 - Line 4a
DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, RED RIVER THEATRES WAS NOT FULLY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC OVER THE TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD ENDING ON JUNE 30, 2021. IN JULY 2021, RED RIVER THEATRES REOPENED, BUT CURRENT OPERATIONS ARE NOT BACK TO PRE-PANDEMIC LEVELS. PRIOR TO THE PANDEMIC, RED RIVER THEATER REGULARLY SOLD TICKETS, SCREENED FILMS, AND HOSTED SEVERAL FILM FESTIVALS. GUESTS WERE ABLE TO CHOOSE FROM THE BEST IN INDEPENDENT FILMS, DOCUMENTARIES, FOREIGN, AND CLASSIC FILMS. SCREENINGS OFTEN INCLUDE POST-FILM DISCUSSION WITH THE FILMMAKERS, EXPERTS, OR PROFESSIONALS SPEAKING ON THE TOPICS AND THEMES IN THE FILM. THESE POST-FILM DISCUSSIONS OFFER AUDIENCES THE OPPORTUNITY TO ASK QUESTIONS AND OFTEN START CONVERSTIONS. RED RIVER THEATRES IS ALSO A VENUE FOR LOCAL AND FIRST-TIME FILMMAKERS. WE ARE WORKING TO RE-ESTABLISH ALL OF THESE ACTIVITIES OVER THE NEXT YEAR.
