Part 3 - Line 4a
WATERSHED AND LAKE MANAGEMENT STUDIES AND RESTORATION. THE LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE ASSOCIATION IS VERY INVOLVED WITH DEVELOPING WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLANS TO IDENTIFY SOURCES OF POLLUTION THAT IMPACT THE LAKE'S WATER QUALITY. THE WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLANS RESULT IN ACTION PLANS AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO MITIGATE SOURCES OF POLLUTION THAT COMMUNITIES CAN IMPLEMENT AT THE LOCAL LEVEL.
OUTREACH AND EDUCATION. THE LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE ASSOCIATION WORKS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON THE ISSUES AND THREATS TO THE LAKE'S WATER QUALITY. VARIOUS OUTREACH PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES ARE HELD THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, INCLUDING WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS, SOCIAL MEDIA, ETC.
WATER QUALITY MONITORING. THE LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE ASSOCIATION HELPS COORDINATE AND FACILITATE THE WATER QUALITY MONITORING PROGRAM ON LAKE WINNIPESAUKEE. LWA STAFF RECRUIT VOLUNTEERS, TRAIN THEM, AND PROVIDE EQUIPMENT AND SUPPORT THROUGHOUT THE MONITORING SEASON.
