THE IAWP ORGANIZES, EACH YEAR, AN INTERNATIONAL EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE. ATTENDEES ARE PROVIDED A WIDE-RANGE OF EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS ON PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT TOPICS. TOPICS TYPICALY INCLUDED EACH YEAR ARE: UPDATES ON WORKFORCE INNOVATION AND OPPORTUNITY ACT, UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE SYSTEMS, VETERAN AND YOUTH PROGRAMS AND MUCH MORE. PARTICIPANTSWERE EMPLOYED WITH U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL WORKFORCE ASSOCIATIONS.
IAWP PROVIDES PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMS TO ADDRESS THE PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL NEEDS OF WORKFORCE PROFESSIONALS AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT CUSTOMERS OF THE WORKFORCE SYSTEM. WPDP CONSISTS OF A SERIES OF STUDY GUIDES AND EXAMINATIONS DESIGNED TO MEASURE AND RECOGNIZE AN INDIVIDUAL'S KNOWLEDGE OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. WPDP PROVIDES WORKFORCE PROFESSIONALS AN OPPORTUNITY TO ENHANCE KNOWLEDGE AND CAREER GROWTH. SEVERAL ORGANIZATIONS HAVE INCORPORATED WPDP AND RECOGNIZE IT AS A USEFUL TRAINING RESOURCE. WPDP CONSISTS OF 4 MODULES: HISTORY OF WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE, LABOR MARKET INFORMATION AND BUSINESS AND JOB SEEKER. EACH MODULE HAS 4 UNITS (LESSONS) AND EACH UNIT HAS A 25 QUESTION, MULTIPLE CHOICE QUIZ. AT THE END OF EACH MODULE STUDENTS RECEIVE AN ELECTRONIC BADGE THAT RECOGNIZES ACHIEVEMENT AS WELL AS A PERSONALIZED CERTIFICATE UPON COMPLETION OF THE FULL PROGRAM. AFTER COMPLETING THE WPDP AND GAINING 30 HOURS OF APPROVED WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING, STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY TO BECOME A CERTIFIED WORKFORCE PROFESSIONAL (CWP). TO SUPPORT YOU, IAWP PROVIDES PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES, THE ANNUAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE, AND APPROVED TRAINING THROUGH IAWP CHAPTERS.
