MANY PEOPLE WITH CHRONIC DISEASE, PARTICULARLY THOSE IN DISENFRANCHISED AND VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES ARE SUBJECT TO JUDGMENT AND TREATMENT BIAS. SINCE 2008 THE SUPPERS PROGRAMS HAVE ENGAGED PARTICIPANTS WHO SUFFER FROM CHRONIC DISEASE, IN A PRACTICAL, HANDS ON APPROACH TO FINDING AND EATING A WHOLE FRESH FOODS DIET AND CREATING THE KNOWLEDGE AND SUPPORT FOR BEHAVIOR CHANGE.OUR HEALTH CARE PARTNERS APPRECIATE THE IMPORTANCE OF EATING REAL WHOLE FOODS IN THE HEALTH EQUATION AND OUR USE OF CUTTING-EDGE SCIENCE AND RESEARCH TO INFORM OUR PROGRAMS. OUR VIBRANT COMMUNITY OF CHEFS, FARMERS, AND EATERS RECOGNIZE THE VALUES OF SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES AND EATING REAL WHOLE FOODS FOR HEALTH.THE SUPPERS' COMMUNITY ECO-SYSTEM PUTS THE INDIVIDUAL FRONT AND CENTER, EMBRACING HEALTH PRACTITIONERS, LEADERS OF THE FAITH-BASED COMMUNITY, LOCAL NONPROFITS, COMMUNITY INFLUENCERS, AND LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS TO BUILD A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE WITH HEALTHY OUTCOMES.AT SUPPERS, PEOPLE DETERMINE THEIR OWN STYLE OF HEALTHY EATING, BASED ON THEIR TASTE PREFERENCES AND THE AVAILABILITY OF THE NECESSARY HEALTHY INGREDIENTS. PROGRAM FACILITATORS ARE TRAINED IN THE PROCESS OF MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING, SO THAT PARTICIPANTS CAN FIND THEIR OWN REASONS FOR CHANGE WITHIN AN ATMOSPHERE OF ACCEPTANCE AND COMPASSION.NON-JUDGMENTAL ENVIRONMENTS ENABLE PEOPLE TO EXPLORE AND EXPERIMENT WITH NEW HEALTHY FOOD CHOICES. THEY SOON LEARN HOW TO OBSERVE THE WAYS DIFFERENT FOODS MAKE THEM FEEL BECAUSE: HOW YOU FEEL IS DATA. PROGRAMS AND WORKSHOPS ARE DELIVERED BOTH LIVE AND VIRTUALLY.
