LLAH SUPPORTS AT-RISK CHICAGO YOUTH BY CHANNELING THE LEGAL COMMUNITY'S RESOURCES TO PROMOTE ONE-TO-ONE MENTORING AND TUTORING PROGRAMS THAT FOSTER CONSISTENT, LONG-TERM BONDS BETWEEN ADULTS AND YOUNG PEOPLE.

LAWYERS LEND-A-HAND TO YOUTH LAUNCHED LEND-A-HAND TUTORING AT THE CBA IN 2016. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE ONE-TO-ONE TUTORING TO STUDENTS IN CHICAGO. TUTORING TAKES PLACE ON TUESDAY EVENINGS FROM 5:30 TO 7:00 P.M. DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR AT THE CHICAGO BAR ASSOCIATION, 321 S. PLYMOUTH COURT, CHICAGO, IL. THIS YEAR, LEND-A-HAND ALSO OFFERED VIRTUAL TUTORING DUE TO THE PANDEMIC. THE PROGRAM HAS A FOCUS ON LITERACY AND TRANSPORTS THE STUDENTS TO TUTORING BY BUS.
