OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE HIGH-LEVEL EDUCATION TO CLINICAL CARE PROVIDERS IN HEPATOLOGY, TO EDUCATE PATIENTS AND MEMBERS OF THEIR SUPPORT NETWORKS ABOUT SPECIFIC LIVER DISEASES, AND TO PROMOTE RESEARCH LEADING TO ENHANCED UNDERSTANDING OF LIVER DISEASE WITH THE EXPECTATION OF IMPROVING PATIENT CARE.

LIFER HAS LONG BEEN ENGAGED IN PROVIDING CULTURALLY SENSITIVE, BALANCED EDUCATION TO HEALTHCARE PRACTITIONERS THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE WORKSHOPS AS WELL AS THROUGH SINGLE-TOPIC, FOCUSED FORUMS. LIFER HAS PLANNED AND JOINTLY SPONSORED EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN MULTIPLE THERAPEUTIC AREAS, INCLUDING CHRONIC HEPATITIS B AND C VIRUS INFECTION. RECENT PROGRAMS HAVE INCLUDED LIVE ACTIVITIES, ENDURING MATERIALS, AND WEB-BASED INITIATIVES.
