USING THE LESSONS OF THE HOLOCAUST AND OTHER EVENTS PAST AND PRESENT WE ENCOURAGE INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES TO REFLECT AND ACT UPON THEIR MORAL RESPONSIBILITIES TO CONFRONT PREJUDICE, INTOLERANCE AND DISCRIMINATION.

HOLOCAUST AND HUMAN RIGHTS CENTER OF MAINE (THE CENTER) IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION LOCATED IN AUGUSTA, MAINE. THE CENTER USES THE LESSONS OF THE HOLOCAUST AND OTHER GENOCIDES TO COMBAT PREJUDICE AND DISCRIMINATION IN MAINE AND BEYOND. THE CENTER ENCOURAGES INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES TO REFLECT AND ACT UPON THEIR ETHICAL AND MORAL RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE MODERN WORLD. THE CENTER OFFERS A WIDE RANGE OF FREE EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH, COMPELLING PROGRAMMING, AND ROTATING EXHIBITIONS TO THE COMMUNITY. THE CENTER IS SUPPORTED PRIMARILY BY DONOR CONTRIBUTIONS AND A STRONG FORCE OF VOLUNTEERS.
