NEW HOPE MIDCOAST BELIEVES THAT A LIFE FREE FROM ABUSE IS A FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHT AND WORKS TO BUILD A CULTURE THAT WILL NOT TOLERATE DOMESTIC ABUSE. WE SUPPORT PEOPLE AS THEY CREATE PATHWAYS TO SAFETY. BY EDUCATING AND EMPOWERING OUR COMMUNITIES, WE SUPPORT A MORE JUST AND EFFECTIVE RESPONSE TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND ABUSE.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAMS - PROVIDES EDUCATION AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS TO SCHOOLS AND OTHER COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS WHICH HAVE CONTACT WITH PEOPLE AFFECTED BY DOMESTIC AND DATING VIOLENCE.


INDIVIDUAL ADVOCACY PROGRAM - PROVIDES INTERVENTION COUNSELING THROUGH A 24-HOUR HELPLINE, OFFICE VISITS, LEGAL ADVOCACY, INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES. SUPPORT GROUPS - PROVIDES SUPPORT AND EDUCATION FOR VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC ABUSE. CERTIFIED DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INTERVENTION PROGRAM - PROVIDES A CERTIFIED EDUCATION PROGRAM FOR WOMEN WHO USE VIOLENCE.


EMERGENCY SHELTER - PROVIDES TEMPORARY HOUSING FOR INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY DOMESTIC AND DATING VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN. TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM - PROVIDES SHORT- AND LONG-TERM HOUSING ASSISTANCE AND PERSONALIZED SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES WHO ARE HOMELESS AS A RESULT OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.
