BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES PERFORMED INCLUDE: 837 ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS RECEIVED OUTREACH AND/OR CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT TO HELP THEM ACCESS HEALTH CARE AND COMMUNITY SERVICES AND FULLY LIVE THEIR LIVES; 297 AT-RISK YOUTHS AND THEIR FAMILIES RECEIVED INTERVENTION AND SUPPORT TO PREVENT THEM FROM FURTHER INVOLVEMENT WITH THE LEGAL OR MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM.
DIRECT ASSISTANCE PASS-THROUGH PROGRAM SERVICES INCLUDE: CHILD & ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM, REFUGEE & IMMIGRATION SERVICES, AND OFFICE OF MAINE REFUGEE SERVICES. CHILD & ADULT CARE FOOD PROGRAM OFFERS SUPPORT, MEAL REIMBURSEMENT AND EDUCATION TO CHILD CARE PROVIDERS ON HEALTHY EATING AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY TO ENSURE CHILDREN ARE PROVIDED WITH NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND SNACKS WHILE IN THEIR CARE SERVING 7,047 CHILDREN, REFUGEE & IMMIGRATION SERVICES PROVIDES RESETTLEMENT, SUPPORT AND SELF SUFFICIENCY SERVICES TO REFUGEES AND ASYLEES FEDERALLY ASSIGNED OR RELOCATED TO MAINE SERVING 352 NEW MAINERS, AND OFFICE OF MAINE REFUGEE SERVICES WHICH ADMINISTERS REFUGEE CASH AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE AND MEDICAL SCREENINGS.
SPECIALIZED COMMUNITY SERVICES PERFORMED INCLUDE: 30,055 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN AROOSTOOK COUNTY WERE PROVIDED WITH FOOD ASSISTANCE; 5,651 INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED WITH ORAL HEALTH SERVICES; 389 REFUGEES RESETTLING IN MAINE RECEIVED HELP FINDING HOUSING, JOBS, AND REFERRALS TO AVAILABLE SERVICES; 3,175 INDIVIDUALS AND BUSINESSES STATEWIDE RECEIVED LANGUAGE INTERPRETATION AND TRANSLATION SERVICES; 1,800 INDIVIDUALS FOUND COMPASSIONATE SUPPORT AND/OR RECEIVED EMERGENCY SERVICES; 431 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES DEALING WITH ISSUES RELATED TO DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ADDICTION RECEIVED SUPPORT AND COUNSELING SERVICES; 1,198 ELDERLY AND DISABLED INDIVIDUALS WERE ABLE TO REMAIN LIVING INDEPENDENTLY IN THEIR HOME WITH THE SUPPORT OF A HOMEMAKER OR VOLUNTEER COMPANION; 316 BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED CHILDREN RECEIVED THE RESOURCES SERVICES THEY NEEDED TO SUCCEED; 5,302 CHILDREN WERE PROVIDED WITH NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND SNACKS BY THEIR CHILD CARE PROVIDERS THROUGH THE USDA FOOD PROGRAM; 147 CHILDREN WERE PROVIDED QUALITY CHILDCARE SERVICES.
