OPERATION OF SUMMER MUSIC CAMP FOR THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN IN MUSIC. SUMMER PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE SNOW POND MUSIC FESTIVAL (COLLEGE AND GRADUATE STUDENTS), THE BOSTON YOUTH SYMPHONY, THE NEW ENGLAND ADULT BAND CAMP, WHICH CELEBRATED ITS 83RD SEASON IN 2019. THE CORE PROGRAMS ARE FOR MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE SNOW POND COMMUNITY SCHOOL WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE YEAR-ROUND MUSIC EDUCATION FOR RESIDENTS OF CENTRAL MAINE. THE SCHOOL HAS 35 STUDENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP LESSONS ON THE NEMC CAMPUS AND ANOTHER 200 THAT RECEIVE GROUP LESSONS THROUGH AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS WITH PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS.
