STUDY AND RECOMMEND THE ENACTMENT OF LEGISLATION IN THE INTEREST OF THE INDUSTRY, REPRESENT THE INDUSTRY BEFORE PUBLIC OFFICIALS AND PUBLIC AUTHORITIES, AND ADVISE AND EDUCATE PUBLIC OFFICIALS ABOUT THE INDUSTRY; 7. PROMOTE CLOSE COORDINATION AND COOPERATION AMONG THOSE ENGAGED IN THE INDUSTRY; AND 8. CARRY OUT THOSE ACTIVITIES.

THE FOUNDATION IS A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION ESTABLISHED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ENHANCING, PRESERVING, AND PROTECTING THE LOCAL ECOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF THE BUTTERNUT-FRANKLIN LAKES AREA THROUGH FUNDING PROJECTS SUCH AS FISH STOCKING, LAKE STUDIES, AND OTHER EFFORTS TO ENHANCE FLORA AND FAUNA, DEVELOPING AND PRESENTING EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PROGRAMS ON ECOLOGICAL AND OTHER ISSUES THAT AFFECT THE LAKES AREA, AND PROVIDING INPUT AND SUPPORT TO GOVERNMENTAL UNITS WHEN THESE AGENCIES HAVE AN IMPACT ON THE AREA.
